Guess the Blob Contest

Guess the Blob 1

Michael Perry’s book, Population: 485,  is still sitting on my desk and is in fear of getting re-read, so we need to put the Guess the trackGuess The Track Contest to bed since we have no official winner.  James D. was our unofficial winner but he grilled me with questions until I snapped like a frozen hickory twig.

We both agreed that it would be unfair if he won.  For the record, the track was from a mississippiensis, alligator mississippiensis.

Here is a brief excerpt from page 80 of Population: 485:  When I was in Kindergarten,  Mr. Plomber, the janitor, came to our classroom and installed a plastic phone on the wall so we could practice calling the fire department.  While we gathered around to watch him drive in the screws, he asked us how many of us knew our phone number, Everyone raised their hand but me…. I ran to the coat rack and pulled my jacket from the hanger.  My mother had written my name and number on the tag.  I reported back to Mr. Plomber with the information.  “You won’t always have that coat, ” he said.

Guess the Blob 2

The only fair way to do this is have another contest which we have aptly named, Guess the Blob Contest. These   Blobs were found in a marsh  north of the Everglades, photographed and placed back where they were  found. I have no idea what they are so we will learn together.

Back to the contest, Guess the Blob and win the book, its that simple.  First one to answer in the comment section is the winner.
