During the last year we have had a Guess The Plant Contest, Guess The Bug Contest, and Guess The Frog Contest, so its time for Guess The Bone.
This bone was spotted in a swampy area just southwest of Lake Okeechobee. If you correctly Guess The Bone, OSR will send you, free of charge a used copy of Eric Blehm’s The Last Season, ”Randy Morgenson was legendary for finding people missing in the High Sierra….Then one day he went missing himself.”
Fergie, our OSR mascot once again provides the backdrop for the book cover shot. I enjoyed reading The Last Season, it describes Yosemite and the John Muir Trails as if you were actually there.
Randy Morgenson would always say to walk slow when you hike so you can see all the mountains have to offer, don’t pound the trail or summit to make good time, take time to take in the beauty. He also stated that our reality is in the wilderness and that unreality is in the world we live in. Words to live by.
OSR will gladly mail Eric Blehm’s true story completely free of charge to the first OSR visitor who sends the correct answer via our comments section for this post.
