Trish W. from Idaho won the Guess the Blob Contest and received a copy of Michael Perry’s Population 485 and the 2010 Farmer’s Almanac. Thanks Trish for playing. Now it is time for another contest, this one is aptly called “Guess the Skull Contest”. The OSR visitor who correctly answers in the comment section will win a recycled copy of Peterson’s Field Guide -Western Birds. This is a great guide for anyone west of the Mississippi.
Our OSR Mascot Fergi(e) is ruminating through the field guide and is once again stuck on her favorite duck page. Good luck on Guess the Skull.

Is it something from the Jurasek Period?
;^)
it is part of our world today.
Boar?
Good Guess Brian, but that is no it.
Is it native to Florida or does it live there now? My second guess would be a deer. Definitely a vegetarian of some sort…
Brian-to answer your questions: Is it a native of Florida? Some would say yes others would disagree, more would say yes than no. Yes it lives in Florida now but also in other places. Yes on its a vegetarian. But has been observed eating other things that are not vegetarian.
To me it looks like a Florida Mosquito.
Manatee
Tony: You get the best answer, but the correct answer goes to Larkin. Good Job Larkin. Manatee is correct.
