Otters’ Moose

Kathy from Alaska sends this picture of her backyard, taking a close look you can see a moose with a younger moose grazing. Kathy’s Chesapeake Bay Retriever named Otter was the first to pick up the scent of her new visitors. Kathy writes….

I rarely get to see any wildlife on MY road near MY house..everyone ELSE
gets the wildlife but ME.. Boo hoo…but Hurray!! I got to see some once for
all!!! Woo hooooooooo

AND…..I had my camera!! Unfortunately the zoom isn’t the best..but it
caught them anyhow so you can see them!! Otter let out a LOUD
“BA-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO” once she spotted them. If I had JUST had my glasses
on I could have gotten them crossing the road. They actually came out of
the woods opposite where Otter thought they were … She was just following
their scent..amazing she smelled them that far away!!! They were a good 150
yds or more from the house..I don’t know my measurements very well.. Maybe
more like 300 feet …

Anyhow… She totally picked up their scent and followed it.. That was fun
to watch!!!

Enjoy!!
Kath

Thanks Kathy, below is my favorite Photo of your Chesapeake Bay Retrievers, I have taken the liberty of naming the photo; “waiting for the UPS guy”.
